Ian
Matthews
 Ian has been involved in the delivery of infrastructure throughout his lengthy career with the NSW government. As well as working with the NSW road authority, he spent over 20 years in the housing sector, focused on the land development and the delivery of public housing. Ian also spent 10 years working on the construction and contract policy role with the the NSW road authority, with an emphasis on managing contracting risk. As a result, Ian has a thorough understanding of the issues involved with the delivery of major infrastructure by contract. Ian also undertook a construction and contract policy role with the authority with an emphasis on managing the contracting risk. Most recently, Ian played a key role in establishing an alliance model for the NSW road authority, which was used to deliver infrastructure worth $2 billion. Ian’s expertise ranges across the full spectrum of contract models, combined with his extensive experience in various public sector agenices, Ian’s procurement capabilities has provided clients with procurement outcome certainty. Ian has led the procurement of major roads, transmission and marine projects for government clients utilising the full range of delivery models.
